DAVE JOHNSON 1957-2009

Dave, guitarist with Shapeshifter, recorded a large body of solo music over many years right up to his death from cancer in March 2009.

The music on this album comes from a CDR Dave had marked "CD Instr No 2" from October-November 2008. All pieces are untitled except for track 6 which was also found on another CDR under the title "Misty Swirls Over Grass". It seemed apt to use this as the album title too, although the music covers his usual gamut of moods from the opening track which is totally eccentric through to the poignant title track to the atmospheric closing piece.

Dave had no interest in money and in both his music and his paintings he created for nothing more and nothing less than the pure desire to create. In concordance with the wishes of his widow Christine, all proceeds from the online sale of his music will be donated to LOROS, the charity who did everything they could to make his final months as bearable as possible.
